    Hello, everyone!

    We're so happy to be back open again after our brief time closed and have been busy redecorating and creating yummy new dishes for our menu.

    Our opening hours have changed slightly and for the coming months will be as follows:

    Monday: 9:30 - 16:30
    Tuesday: 9:30 - 16:30
    Wednesday: CLOSED
    Thursday: CLOSED
    Friday: 9:30 - 16:30
    Saturday: 9:30 - 16:30
    Sunday: 9:30 - 16:30

    Please don't hesitate to contact us on 015394 35790 or at info@greensgrasmere.com if you'd like to reserve a table - we highly recommend this if you are a large group in order to avoid disappointment!

    With Pancake Day just around the corner, we'd also like to let you know that we will be serving pancakes in our cafe all day Tuesday with the options of lemon and sugar, Nutella, and gluten-free options will be available too!

  • Cartmel Beer - best enjoyed from our sunny terrace!

    At Greens, we do our very best to, where possible, source locally.

    Our delicious range of Cartmel beers, from the Unsworth Brewery, are made in the beautiful and local village of Cartmel and we are delighted to be selling them at Greens.

    'Cartmel Peninsula', 'Last Wolf', 'The Land of Cartmel' and 'Crusader Gold' are the varieties we have available.

    Pop in and we'll pour you a cold one - best enjoyed on our sunny terrace!

    Whilst the sun is shining and we are all feeling slightly giddy, we thought we might add to the merriment with a special offer!

    Our CELIA lager - delicious and gluten-free - is now 'buy one, get one free'!

  • Evening Opening over Half Term Week

    Half term is upon us and we are gearing up for the crowds!  In addition to opening every day throughout half term week, we will also be opening in the evenings too.

    From today, we'll be open in the evening every day except for Sunday and Wednesday nights, right through till next Sunday, so if you don't manage to pay us a visit for lunch, you can pop in for a spot of supper.

    As ever, we have a wide ranging selection of dishes for all varieties of diet and, we've also been busy in the kitchen whipping up some special hallowe'en treats for the kids!

    We hope you have a restful half term and happy hallowe'en to all of our customers!

  • Open all week of October Half Term!

    The October Half Term is almost upon us and we're chomping at the bit at Greens to accommodate your every culinary whim!

    So, in order to keep up with demand, we have decided to open for the entire week from Saturday 27th October right through to Monday 5th November.

    As  ever, we will be serving all your foodie favourites and spicing things up with some extra yummy and delicious winter warmers.

    So, bring your family, friends, kids and dogs!  We look forward to making your half term break extra special!

     

    (Please note that due to a family bereavement, we will not be open on Friday 19th October)

  • The Ultimate Comfort Food - "Macaroni Cheese"!

    The weather is grim and we're all feeling a bit glum, so what better way to cheer ourselves up than with the thing we love the most here at Greens: Food!

    Tonight, on our evening menu, we'll be serving the ultimate in comfort food - "macaroni cheese" topped with sunblushed tomatoes and grilled to perfection till crunchy and golden brown.  A crisp green salad with olives and garlic toast finishes the perfect dish!

    And for the finale, we'll be serving apple crumble with lashings of hot custard or stem-ginger ice-cream.

    So, whatever your Friday night holds, make sure it includes some mac n' cheese and a glass of red.  All together now....Aaahhhhh!!

  • We're open this Wednesday Evening!

    There's no better feeling than when your favourite bistro decides to unexpectedly throw open its doors!

    And that's exactly what we're doing this Wednesday, having been inundated with requests and bookings!

    And to top it all, there's a delicious new evening menu to sink your teeth into.

    The best nights out are always the most spontaneous, so gather up some friends and come along and join us.

  • Evening Facepainting at Greens

    For our younger patrons, good news!  We are offering a free facepainting service from 6-6:30 for Friday and Saturday evening early birds!

    Great for the little people and even better for Mum and Dan who can relax with a chilled glass of wine whilst the kids are entertained with a pre-dinner treat.

  • For more than 8, we'll open till late!

     

    Our new Friday and Saturday evening opening is going down a storm and despite the gloomy weather, our customers have ventured out and joined us for dinner!

    The great news is that for bookings of 8 people or more, we'll open in the evening especially for you - no matter what the day!

    So, gather some friends and give us a call.  You can find the new weekly summer menu on the website and don't forget, we cater very happily for smaller tummies and furry friends, so do feel free to bring your children and dogs too and we'll have the wine chilling.
