Brathay Marathon 2017

This year Rob, Ryan, and Harrison have decided to run the Brathay Marathon to raise funds for Brathay Trust, here's why:

Martin Campbell was a good friend of ours who worked tirelessly and selflessly to promote a positive image of Grasmere and helped the village get back on its feet after the floods of December 2015.  He set up the village Facebook site to report on progress with the rebuilding of the A591 and interviewed and filmed a lot of the officials tasked with the repair of the road. Those clips were shared on line so that we were all aware of how things were progressing.  Martin was chairman of the Governors at Grasmere School and was instrumental in helping those children, cut off by “the gap,” get back to school whilst the repairs were carried out. Martin supported the Brathay Trust as a charity because it has such a positive impact on young lives. He was heavily involved in promoting the Trust and particularly the Brathay Marathon.  He would be seen out on the road with the 10 in 10s with his camera interviewing the runners.  Martin died suddenly in 2016.   We decided that the best way to say our thank you to Martin is to run the Brathay Marathon as part of Team Camera Dude and raise funds for the Brathay Trust.

Please donate whatever you can.
